Shawn Reeder

Tuolumne and Yosemite Climbs

Born October 12, 1976 in Baltimore MD, Shawn Reeder grew up in the suburbs outside the city. He always loved the outdoors, and eventually won a trip to Yosemite when he was 18. This trip changed his life, as he knew he'd found his home, the Sierra Nevada; so majestically represented by one of it's grandest valleys. Shawn proceeded to apply for a job with the consessionaire in Yosemite, and got a job in the most pristine part of the park, Tuolumne Meadows. This introduced Shawn to the High Sierra, "The Range of Light", the place that has captured Shawn's heart, and provides a lifetime's worth of places to explore. Shawn has hiked, and climbed, and basked in the glory of these mountains; finding a deep love for the High Sierra and all it's subleties of light, mood, texture, and feeling. Shawn also has a great desire to travel the planet, especially to other mountain ranges and cultures. With these inspirations, Shawn loves to be able to share with others a vision of beauty, through photography, to inspire, and to realize, that we all have this beauty within.
