The contention that Manson didn't actually kill anyone is kinda like this:

"Yes, I loaded the gun, aimed it, pulled the trigger and launched the bullet. But the bullet did the actual killing, not me."

I don’t see how anyone can say he never murdered anyone himself. Plausible rumors have circulated for years, and the man was certainly capable of it.

. Probably an artifact of 70's drug culture in that regard.

Tut... not to nitpick ... but a product of the 60's drug culture.

One of my friends was in the graduating class of 69 at Chatsworth High...

Just down the road from the Familys ranch.... he said that "squeeky" was always hanging out in the parking lot selling acid.

and I actually lived at "The Ranch".... for a year or so.... after the trial and all of that, my GF trained Jumpers/Hunters and she leased the place in 1977. Everything was bulldozed, flattened.... We set up pipe corrals, a workout ring and moved in some trailers.
If you go down into the creek bed you can find all sorts of evidence... "Charlie is God" was carved into the sandstone....

That is all gone now, some people went in and really erased everything, including that carving.

Good riddance, rot in hell.

Plausible rumors are interesting, but nobody has reported that a body turned up.

Hinman murder
Charles “Tex” Watson scammed Bernard Crowe to obtain money for Manson. Crowe threatened Manson and the Manson family. Soonafter, Manson shot Crowe under the false pretense that Crowe was part of the Black Panthers, an African-American leftist organization. However, Crowe did not die, and Manson feared retaliation from Crowe. In order to escape and move into a new territory away from the Spahn Ranch (The Manson Family compound), Manson needed money. In the midst of Manson’s escape plan, he was told that his friend Gary Hinman was coming into some money from an inheritance.

In an effort to retrieve money from Hinman, Manson ordered Bobby Beausoleil, along with Mary Brunner and Susan Atkins, to go to Hinman’s residence and persuade him to turn over the money. Hinman was uncooperative. After being held hostage for days, Manson came over with a sword and slashed Hinman’s left ear. Ultimately, Beausoleil murdered Hinman by stabbing him twice in the chest. Hinman’s blood was used to smear “political piggy” on the wall along with the Black Panther’s paw to implicate the Black Panther party.

Although there is much speculation regarding the circumstances surrounding Hinman’s murder, Beausoleil was arrested when he was found sleeping in Hinman’s vehicle, wearing the bloody clothes worn during the stabbing, and with the murder weapon concealed in the trunk tire.

Who knows?

Manson supposedly boasted to having personally committed over 30 murders.

Did Calley actually murder civilians? Why yes he did. Did Raygun pardon him? Why no, he just commuted the sentence.

he was originally sentenced to death, but the LIBERAL California Supreme Court invalidated the death sentence a year later saying it was unconstitutional.

I'm glad they did. Enough innocent people have been murdered by the state.

It's honestly pretty amazing what he accomplished in such a short time. Not saying he deserves praise or anything but it is impressive that he built such a loyal cult so quickly

BTW, why doesn't Peyer deeserve the eChair?

On duty, mfker

On December 27th. 1986 20 year old, SDSU college student Cara Knott was travelling southbound on Interstate 15. Cara was on her way home from an evening at her boyfriends home in Escondido to her parents home in El Cajon. Craig Peyer, on duty CHP patrol officer, flashed lights at Knott to pull off the freeway to an isolated off ramp. It is thought the situation with Knott became physical when, she threatened to report Peyers behavior. Peyer beat her with his flash-light, and strangled her with rope from his patrol car. He then disposed of her body by throwing her off an abandoned bridge into the brush below.

^Obviously you've studied the case, eh?

Craig Peyer, the only California Highway Patrol officer ever convicted of committing murder while on duty, was sentenced to state prison Wednesday by a judge who said Cara Knott's death could have been prevented if CHP officials had acted on an earlier citizen's complaint about Peyer.

Peyer, a 13-year CHP veteran before his firing in May, 1987, was sentenced to the maximum term of 25 years to life. He was convicted of strangling Knott, a 20-year-old San Diego State University student, on the night of Dec. 27, 1986, near an isolated off-ramp along Interstate 15 and throwing her body off a bridge 65 feet into a dry creek bed. He will be eligible for consideration for parole after serving 17 years, 8 months.

Superior Court Judge Richard Huffman, who presided over two emotional trials for Peyer, struggled to maintain his composure before imposing the sentence. After praising CHP officials for working hard to restore the agency's reputation after Peyer's arrest, Huffman said they had to share some blame for Knott's death.

The judge was particularly angered by a CHP sergeant's failure to take decisive action when a mother called to complain that Peyer had forced her daughter to stop on the darkened Mercy Road off-ramp one month before Knott was murdered in the area. The sergeant was "following the bureaucratic pattern of dismissing complaints," Huffman said.

derf - even Manson didn't think he was worth pissing on

go find some homeless dudes to give you a murky golden shower - give them a good tip from the other kids lunch money you stole

Two Mansonfamily wannabes, but too stupid to be able to find the ranch. Hoping to score some young hippie babes who would admire their guns

You ran out of drugs? See if you can get 'em on your disability pension or ask your buddy Peyer's buddies to score you some from the evidence locker. Try Xanax it may calm you down

Edit

Never happened
