This picture is from a local newspaper (La Nación). I didn't take it. It was taken from a satellite and shows the Fitz Traverse that Caldwell and Honnold did. They traversed the ridge from left to right. To give some idea of the scale, the routes on the first apparent rock face on the left-hand start of the traverse (the West Face of Guillaumet) are up to 450 meters long. That's one massive traverse!

hooblie: I'm no expert on trees, but many of the trees in this forest (on the hill behind my house) are indeed eucalyptus. I'm not sure what route they took to arrive from Australia, but I suppose that's where they came from.
