My new pup Aspen.

She's beautiful, Batrock. And such a love-muffin!

Ward Trotter--Love the ferret! They're so much fun, and travel as well or better than cats and dogs IMHO.

One day I was laying g in the sun drying off when I felt this something on the top of my head. I sat up to find myself face to face with a ferret.

The ferret had escaped from the previous owner and had taken refuge in my garage during the night (I had forgot to close the door which I've never done before) approached me probably out of sheer hunger, and was not in too good of shape generally.

After a couple months of good food and the proper light schedule she is strong and getting almost as fast as my border collie.

Notice the predatory claws

Good job on the rescue! ^^^
I had friends who had a couple of these guys for many years. They're smart little buggers...and I love the purring sound they make.
What did you name your girl?

What did you name your girl?

Her name is Xassu. I think she must be less than a year old.
They are very intelligent , surprisingly so. Every time I take her out of her cage to run free she tries to fake me out in order to prolong her freedom by running the other way.

If they are allowed to go where you cannot follow then it's goodbye. You must be faster and smarter and up to the game.
