Great day to be a football fan. Some good games were televised this week.

I was texting with my Denverite daughter when the Pats were down by 24; my response? "There's a lot of time left..."

I love it when the boys from New England make me look smart. Great game!

peyton looks much more fun to play for - brady always seems to be pissed and yelling at people, which is weird when you know he's married to a supermodel that makes more money than he does and he should just just chill out and have fun...

my 2 pesos...

I think it's just differing leadership styles.

I imagine a night on the town with Brady would sure beat riding around in Payton's Buick looking for a rousing BBQ with Archie.

Knife in my heart!

Argh!

Shades of the Forty Niners' ineptitude with kicks!

Still, a fine game, really.

Brady's awesome.

I'll take 9 and 2. Meh...

Sorry, I quit watching football when the Vikings lost 3 Superbowl games in four years.

Don't tell lme they play tomorrow night...

Telling the truth, I've only watched one other game this year and that was Broncos and Chiefs last Sunday.

I have been too busy on Sundays and my TV is locked in the closet, so I streamed these two Sunday Night Games.

an interesting game to watch where all the foibles of the two teams were on display... I'm glad that the Patriots "had the ball bounce their way"

the impressive fact was that they didn't succumb to the loss which everyone (including me) thought inevitable at the half... that shows incredible discipline for all elements of the game, offense, defense and special teams, during a game where the smallest of lapses at any of those aspects would be magnified. the patriots' last punt was an example of playing every minute of the game, at that point it was incredible that they might tie it... certainly winning was a distant thought.

the 7 turnovers was also amazing, and once again the patriots somehow came out of the game with +1, after giving up 3 in the first quarter. the elements played a major role.

my daughter texted me, also, but I wasn't watching my phone... which was good because I wouldn't have been as positive as Edge... bad patriot football for the first half against the best AFC team of 2013... and they should have lost. that they didn't made for a great second half (whatever the outcome).

It was a good game that was brought down by winning via a bonehead play.
I don't foresee Ridley and his manos de piedra playing much more for Belichick.
The other negative was having to put up with two bonehead announcers.
Michaels would be bearable without Mr Smarmyworth.

I'm pretty sure my Grannie runs faster than Eli Manning, and she's pushing up daisies.

Eli's not paid to run.

He is paid to throw a Giant Bomb now and then, and it's beautiful.

Apparently some one forgot to give Manning the "Peyton can't play in cold weather" memo.

The NFL needs to look into the finances of the ref who called the pass interference call that
gave the win to the Pats today. It was way beyond just plain bogus.

it wasn't the only bad call in the game...
nor the only bad call by that referee team...

...but it is what it is... what about the last play during Pats at Carolina?

Well I'm thinking my Broncos will need at least 45 points to win tonight. Chargers do not suck on Offense.

Wouldn't be surprised to see 100pts of total offense tonight.

Any takers?

Our pass defense is crap. So is the Chargers.

It's been a good year but I fear a sad Playoffs with a defense that gives away 26 points a game.
