Briham- I was jealous of snowmobiles for many years myself. Then i purchased one. Now i am no longer jealous, but i have an appreciation of the amount of work that goes into maintenance of these machines. It is a labour of love. And it's super worth every penny, tear, and curse.

Yes I do! I have been reluctant to pull it out in recent years due to my sled access fetish but that sounds like fun. I will be hiking a bit hopefully in the early season to get my cardio up.
Dave- thanks for the info. Tell the kid cool boards!

Sweet pics!!! What kind of split board do you have? I'm thinking about getting the k2 board that comes with skins I think it's called the panoramic?

mikes got a prior splitboard from the 90s
The K2 splits a quite nice, I really like the way the skins attach.
I have a home made one.
They're all good, just find one the shape you like.
Although I havent tried them yet, SPARK or VOILE split specific bindings, the pricey but shave weight and remove the half inch rise.
Damn I love having a whole mountain with just your bros and the billy goats!
And here is an old video of when I was actually a KID...
...So funny because that last shot is relly close to the mountains I touring in in the photos above, yet I was then clueless of how the heck to get up there!

Silver-
Maybe not the best, but thet don't suck!!!! lets go ski and I will show you how a good skier can make them rip!!!
What models have you tried? The ones that I have are the Reno Freebirds. 86 under foot And super stiff. Casey quit making the Freebird so stiff because many of the young dudes did not like them. the current Freebirds are much softer than the pair I have.

Went up to check the conditions at my Northern Sierra (eastern Plumas County) local backcountry hill after work today. In a word, muddy.

I got a K2 split with sparks, pretty hyped about it although I am nowhere near responsible enough to even think about taking it or myself up on any snow covered peaks until we get about 4 more feet of snow. Can't wait!

Pahaaha, I have many other ways to embarrass myself then trying to keep up with Greg Foweraker.
Haven't you heard the rumours. He's fast.
P.s. I personally heard croft last night say the Greg is his best friend in the whole wild world!
P.s.s. I'm sneaking up whistler for so powdies in the morning!!

It was a bit warmer today than yesterday so the snow was quite a bit heavier but still fun. A good workout for the pow leg.
Strapping In
Woody drops in to one of my favourite sub alpine laps
Cruising back to the lift.
Another wall lap was in order...
Then back up Jersey Cream.
This time we hung a Louie
Then took a quick pit stop for some water and a hunk of banana bread.

After our break we decided to head over and sample Whistler so we headed over to;
Eat to Eat
Just after leaving the station
The station
Whistler Mountain is just 11 minutes away
Looking back at the lodge
Last runs before the valley
Fitzsimmons engulfed in clouds.
