Avg time to climb route: 30 minutes
Approach time: 10 minutes Descent time: 30 minutes Number of pitches: 1 Height of route: 70' Overview
The top anchors (two bolts which can be backed up with an additional bolt) are almost at the edge of the formation. It’s best to set a trad anchor above these bolts in order to descend down the slab to reach them safely. Bring long slings to protect the rope from the sharp edge on top of this climb. Note: Tensioning over to the top protection bolt from above is a bit technical and quite scary. From here, tension hard to reach the additional bolts for directionals and to finally reach the ledge below. Rap all the way down to the ledge located70 feet down, past the first set of anchors located 15 feet above the belay. Despite its radically-steep position, the initial climbing on Fun Terminal is not too demanding. Traverse east off the ledge and wrap yourself around the east end of the arête to a vertical, xenolith-covered face. Stay on the east side of the Killer Pillar for five bolts worth of 10+ to 11- climbing and to a big rest before transitioning to steeps-ville. Now is time to wrap your hips around the arête, throw a heel hook claw for steep crimps, and make a few arête slaps before the terrain eases off to pumpy 5.11- climbing. Fun Terminal is essentially hard for one short, radical bit. Can’t be beat for sports action. Climber Beta on Fun Terminal
