I recently completed climbing all of California's 14,000 foot peaks and linking the trailheads by bike. I used a Fastest Known Time style approach to the trip and finined in 9 days 20 hours 41 minutes. Here is a link to my trip report:

Props, Sam. I thought I would add your Middle Pal summit register entry here too. I imagine you on top, a little loopy from a long day and a sketchy traverse, just hoping that the way down would be easy.

Here is the text:
8.2.14
Thunderbolt, Starlight,
Polmomem, North Pal,
Mt. Sill, Middle Pal.
What a day.
California 14'ers all by bike,
feet and hands. Started on
Shasta 7.29. Whoo hoo got
to get off this now.

Just saw Sam's TR here so I deleted the other thread since this stays on topic. I love the photo of the summit register, cool addition.

Awesome! Sounds miserable to me, but I'm glad you had fun. :D

I was smiling as I topped out on North Palisade (14,242ft.) at 11:40am. There were three other climbers at the summit and when I told them of what I was trying to do their only comment was “That’s already been done before.” I didn’t know what to say in response

What dumbasses. You could have pointed out that North Pal had been climbed before, so why were they wasting their time?

Ya, that's really funny. They must have been on the FA of North Palisade.

Very impressive feat!

Shortly after I had completed the A to A trip I had thought about climbing all of California’s fourteen thousand foot peaks using a bicycle to connect the trailheads. As other amazing adventures presented themselves this idea was put aside until last year when news broke that Cedar Wright and Alex Honnold had become the first to complete this feat.

I'm not sure that's true about Alex and Cedar being the first to do it on bikes. I met a patroller at Aspen Highlands in 1992 who told me about a friend of his who'd done it on a bike in the mid-1980s. Anyway, great achievement regardless.
